Do you mean that there should be an area for “Gold Coast” as opposed to “Queensland – Gold Coast”?
The regions are associated with a state to make it easier for people to browse to them (when we implement that feature). As mentioned in another post, a user should be able to click on the state of Queensland and the be presented with a list of the regions in Queensland. If a property has a region from Queensland selected they will show up in those results, regardless of whether or not their state is set to Queensland.
There is nothing stopping a property located in New South Wales from selecting a region in a different state. If this becomes a problem then we might look in to other ways of defining regions, but for now there is no reason not to just select “Queensland – Gold Coast”.
Last but not least, before we launch to the public we will be implementing more Geolocation based searching. As long as you enter your town name correctly (if it shows up when you search it on Google Maps you should be good) then your facility will show up in searches for towns/areas/facilities within a certain distance anyway. Before we can start doing this we need better location information about the facilities though.
I hope all that help and gives you a bit of an idea of why we’re done things that way – if I’ve completely missed the point let me know and I will try to respond again.
Cheers,
Brenton
